Have you ever tried herding crazy cats? Well, that's what if feels like we're doing. If someone says, "Here kitty, kitty!," they take off in all directions. Trying to get them to come back is nearly impossible, and they don't care. But we do, so we chase them and bring them home. We feed, water them, give them their medicine, and put them to bed. Those crazy cats are our parents. We love them, and they drive us crazy...short trip. So here we are crazy cats, crazy sisters sharing our experiences with you as they develop.

Seriously, we know we are in for a difficult time as we watch our parents age and their health decline. We hoped this time in their lives would truly be the, "twilight years" watching their grandchildren grow up and continue the lives they began 60 years ago for us. Instead it has become the never ending nightmare. The incredibly strong, dedicated man who hardly ever took an aspirin is now on more medication then we ever could have imagined. The loving woman who raised us can barely walk because she is riddled with arthritis. We're faced with the reality of all the responsibilities of the questions: "Should they still drive themselves to appointments they don't even know they have or where they are or why they're going?," "When do we call in the troops?," "Do they need to have a qualified professional monitor their daily activities?" We don't know but we're going to find out, together. 2 sisters, 1 grumpy old man brother, some grandkids and one very precious dog that those crazy cats live with.
Stay tuned, we're here all week.
